What Klipz is

Klipz takes a YouTube link and gives you back a file. Trim it to the exact moment you want with the clipper, or take the whole thing with the downloader. No account, no software, no watermarks, nothing to install.

What you can paste

YouTube - a normal watch link, a youtu.be short link, or a Shorts link. Playlist and radio parameters are ignored rather than followed, so pasting a link you found inside a mix only fetches the one video you meant.

TikTok - a video link, including the short vm.tiktok.com ones. There's no preview player for these, so use the timestamp boxes to set your range.

Instagram - reels and video posts, as long as the account is public. Private accounts can't be fetched. Like TikTok, there's no preview player, so set your range with the timestamp boxes.

X - posts with video, from public accounts. No preview player here either, so use the timestamp boxes.

Reddit - posts with video. Reddit keeps video and audio as separate files, so they're combined on the way to you; that makes the size unknown up front and the download can't be resumed.

More platforms are on the way. If a link doesn't work, it isn't supported yet rather than broken.

Live streams can't be taken in full while they're still running. The clipper can pull a finished stretch out of one instead.

What you get

Video comes back as MP4, at every resolution the source actually offers, up to 4K. Klipz defaults to the most widely supported codec each resolution has, which is usually H.264 - the one video editors and older phones reliably open. If you'd rather have smaller files and know what you're doing, the advanced controls let you force VP9 or AV1 instead.

Audio comes back as MP3, M4A or Opus. M4A and Opus are copied straight from the source, so they keep whatever quality YouTube had. MP3 is re-encoded on the way out, which is worth knowing if you're picky.

What it costs

Nothing, and there's no account to make. Full downloads have no length cap and stream straight to your browser, so there's no queue to sit in. Clips are capped at ten minutes each, and you can run one at a time - enough to keep the thing responsive for everyone without metering it.

Your files

Nothing is kept. Output files are deleted automatically within thirty minutes of being made, and there are no accounts for anything to be attached to. The full details are in the privacy policy.
